Experience the World through Study Abroad
The Luter College actively encourages and promotes study abroad opportunities. Through the Office of International Programs, CNU and the Summer Program in European Studies are offering students access to one of the finest summer programs in Europe. At Maastricht University this summer students in the business college will gain the opportunity to learn more about different facets of Europe and the European Union. Maastricht has been ranked as the #1 university in the Netherlands and is considered the most important international university in the Netherlands with students from all over the world sharing the classroom. Business students enrolled in the program will get a chance to learn about the economic, political and socio-cultural aspects of Europe through one of two mini-terms.
In 2007, European integration expert Dr. George Zestos led a group of students throughout Europe to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and France as part of a topical course on the Exploration of the European Union. The course included a major research paper on European Integration as well as the examination of several aspects of European integration including economics, history, politics, culture, and sociology. While abroad students had an opportunity to visit the European Union Institutions including the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers, The European Court of Justice, the European Court of Auditors, and the European Ombudsman. In addition, students also visited the International Court of Justice in the Hague and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg France. Students were also given time for cultural exploration in Paris at Louvre and Versailles.
