Phyllis M. Henderson is the president and CEO of Visions 2000, Inc. a consulting and training company, established in 1990 and based in Yorktown, Virginia. She is a registered corporate coach with the World-Wide Association of Business Coaches and a certified diversity trainer. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Society for Training and Development.
Ms Henderson currently serves on the board of directors for the Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. In 2003 she was appointed by Governor Mark Warner to serve a 4-year term on the Jamestown-Yorktown Board of Trustees. She is a 2003 graduate of the Hampton Roads Civic Leadership Institute and she completed a 2-year term on the Civic Board of Directors, August 2005. She is a Golden Life member of the NAACP. She serves on the Natasha House Board of Directors, a shelter for homeless women and children—Fall 2006 scheduled ground breaking, York County . She serves as a charter Board Member for the planning and future building of Boys and Girls Club in York County . She is a charter board member for the Victory Branch, YMCA, Yorktown , and a member of the York County Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Henderson is married to Dwight D. Henderson. They have two adult sons and one grand dog.
