Jeff Szyperski is chairman of the board, president & chief executive officer of Chesapeake Bank, main office in Kilmarnock, with 10 branch offices located throughout the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and Williamsburg. In 1983 Szyperski graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.S. degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Upon passing his CPA examination in May of 1984, he joined KPMG Peat Marwick in Raleigh, NC, and left as a senior manager in 1990 to come to Chesapeake Bank. In 1995 he completed The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. In addition to serving on the CNU Joseph W. Luter, III School of Business Board of Advisors, he serves on the Virginia Bankers Association board of directors and is chairman of VBA Management Services, Inc. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Szyperski volunteers as chairman of the board of trustees of Chesapeake Academy, Irvington, and as a trustee of Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Weems. He and his wife, Wende, live in Irvington with their four children, Jeffrey, Patrick, Teddy and Emily.
