Jeff Gough is the Vice President of Human Resources and Safety for Smithfield Foods, Inc. and two of its largest subsidiaries, Smithfield Packing and Gwaltney of Smithfield.  Smithfield Packing, founded in 1936 by Joseph W. Luter and Joseph W. Luter, Jr., has helped make the parent company, Smithfield Foods, the world’s largest producer of pork products.

Before coming to Smithfield, Jeff served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Premium Standard Farms and Purina Mills.

Jeff is a 1985 graduate of the University of Kansas, with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration.  In addition to serving on the Board of Advisors for the Joseph W. Luter III School of Business, Jeff is also an active member of the United Way, serving on the United Way board in Smithfield. 

His interests include golf, boating and hunting.

Jeff and his wife Nancy reside in Smithfield, VA, and have two wonderful children, Katie and David.
